Preschool

Ages 3-4
Young Explorers Preschool Program

Now is a time of blossoming into self-understanding of strengths, interests and beloved friendships. Academic differentiation with lesson pace and difficulty accelerates and the eagles fly – never waiting on the whole class to be on the same timetable.

Language

The sensitive period for language development begins to skyrocket. As they expand their vocabulary, we introduce foreign language, developing mental flexibility as well as an increased awareness of the importance of communication with others.

Social

Begin working in teams for goals. Build close relationships with friends and teammates. Geography and cultural understanding begin to emerge.

Arts & Crafts

Art projects take a new form introducing more complex crafts projects that compound creativity and personal fulfillment.

Science

Tracing the veins of a leaf, exploring soil, or making salt crystal tree all peeves the child with interest at this age, while seamlessly creating understanding for physics and biology.

Math

Introduction to decimals - tens, hundreds, thousands. Exciting counting boards begin moving into teens and potentially hundreds while building confidence. Begin drawing numbers.

Independence & Leadership

We give freedom to make choices on what to explore/learn, allowing controlled risks. Uninterrupted work time, reflection, and motivation are fostered into perseverance.
