I went to Kent State University and received a Bachelor of Science and Education Intervention Specialist. I greatly enjoy helping in educating every child and looking forward for the opportunity of working to help accomplish your child’s many new goals. In my free time I like to ballroom dance and travel.
I went to Edinboro University and graduated with a Masters of Elementary Education. I love the uniqueness each child brings to the classroom and their willingness to learn. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family.
Director - Aurora
I attended Hiram College and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a classroom teacher for 13 years before becoming a Director. The thing I love them most about Young Explorers is the family feel that our school provides. I love watching the children grow. From taking their first steps in the infant room to one day watching them get off the bus from their first day of Kindergarten. I love singing, playing board games, and watching movies with my family.
I received my Montessori Infant and Toddler degree from Columbus Montessori Education Center. I love working at Young Explorers! It is my home away from home and the people who work here are like family to me. I taught in a toddler room here at Young Explorers and fell in love with the atmosphere. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter Nora.
I graduated with a bachelors degree of Arts and Early Childhood at the University of Mount Union. I am also a Montessori Certified teacher through the North America Montessori Center. I love working at Young Explorers because of the family atmosphere and how everyone truly works together. In my free time I love spending time with my son and going to the gym.
I went to Terra State Community College and received an Associate of Applied Sciences. I also received my Early Childhood Education Montessori degree from the North American Montessori Center. In my free time I enjoy hiking and spending time with my family.
I received my Early Childhood Education Montessori degree from the North American Montessori Center. I love coming to work every day and getting the children excited to learn. I enjoy hanging out with my twin sister in my free time.
I have my B.A. in early childhood and leadership. I love being able to teach the kids something new each day, while watching them soak it all in. It is so rewarding to be able to watch them grow in their own accomplishments. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, watching my favorite shows and playing video games.
I have a bachelors degree in child and family development. The Sailors room is the place to be! We have so much fun being able to sign and dance all day while learning new things. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my nieces and nephews.
See what parents and children are saying about Young Explorers!
“Young Explorers has provided an amazing learning environment that is both fun and safe for my children. My son has several life-threatening food allergies, and the staff has bent over backwards to keep him safe. Their careful attention to our special needs has brought me much needed peace of mind when I’m away.”
They are so unbelievably caring; they set expectations for the children that the children strive to reach. Audrey has blossomed over the past 4 years that she has been at your center. We are forever grateful for the assistance in building Audrey’s foundation, they had such a positive influence on us all. Audrey was thrilled to go to school every day, not one day did she ever say I do not want to go.
Unlike some other day care centers, the teachers here really do “teach”; each class has a set curriculum and the children are challenged each day to learn and grow. In addition, they take pride in keeping the facility clean and organized, not to mention sanitized.
Thank you for making my daughter’s transition to school a smooth one. [Young Explorers] has been exceptionally welcoming and flexible. I feel assured that my daughter is safe and well cared for during the day. I’m excited to see how she will blossom this school year.
